Welcome to Part 2 of Where Are They Now. In Part 1, my friend Xander told you about eight porn stars who are now out of the game and what they’re up to these days. Now it’s my turn to bring it home with seven more X-rated actresses (which would make for a total of 15 in honor of Rabbits’ 15th Anniversary). So, let’s get to it.
Lisa Ann
Though Lisa Ann is most famous for being an incredibly sexy MILF porn star, she got her start in the business back in 1994 at the age of 22. She did porn for about three years before retiring (for the first time) in 1997. Nine years later, in 2006, she got back into the biz and a couple years later got her biggest role ever when she starred as Serra Paylin (a parody of Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin), in the Hustler movie Who’s Nailin’ Paylin?.
The role got her recognition among the general public and she starred in two sequels as well as playing Paylin in an Eminem music video for “We Made You.” In December 2014 Lisa posted on Facebook that she was retiring from adult films. She had starred in more than 500 over her illustrious career.
Where is she now?After her retirement, Lisa got surgery to reduce the size of her breasts and started hosting a weekly fantasy sports show on Sirius XM radio. In 2015 she released her memoir, The Life.
In January 2018 she made the announcement that she would once again be coming out of retirement. She signed with Evil Angel and has since appeared on other sites, including True Anal. Looking at global search stats, Lisa Ann is still the one of most popular pornstars in the world and at the top, or right near it, for pretty much the entire decade (even during her 2nd retirement).
Mary Carey was born in 1980 and started doing adult films at the age of 22. Carey knew she wanted to get into the business so she sent some sexy pics to Playboy and that got her foot in the door. From there she went on to make 102 porn movies and it’s been reported that she was making close to $300,000 a month during the peak of her career.
She retired in 2008 but did run for political office in California on two separate occasions while still in the industry. In 2003 she ran for Governor during the California recall elections – placing 10th in a field of 135 candidates. Her platform included a promise to legalize gay marriage, tax breast-enlargement surgery and create a “porn for pistols” program. In 2005 she entered the race for Lieutenant Governor of California, but she ended up dropping out to take care of her mother who had attempted suicide while off her medication.
Where is she now?Carey got treatment for alcoholism while appearing on VH1’s Celebrity Rehab in 2008. In 2011 she said that after the show she quit Xanax and that she no longer binge-drinks except for the occasional glass of champagne. Today, she’s trying to break into mainstream acting and has had some minor roles in a few B straight-to-video movies.
Bree Olson
Her career in porn lasted five years (2006-2011), but it was a very popular and productive five years that saw Bree appear in over 280 adult films and win more than 12 awards – as well as the hearts of many fans. Olson was the March 2008 Penthouse Pet of the Month, she graced the cover of the August 2011 edition of Playboy and in 2010 Maxim named her one of the top 12 female stars in porn.
Where is she now?Since her retirement in 2011, Ms. Olson has done some mainstream acting, appearing in the film The Human Centipede III. She was also involved with the actor Charlie Sheen for a short while (she was one of his “goddesses”) and was right there during his mega-public meltdown in 2013.
Houston
Houston might be best known for her 1999 film The World’s Biggest Gangbang 3: The Houston 620, in which she reportedly had sex with over 620 men without taking a break. But that isn’t all she did over the course of her impressive career. Houston was the first porn star to get a $1m paycheck and after having surgery to trim her labia, she auctioned off said trimmings for around $50,000!
In 2002 Houston took a hiatus from porn and in 2004 she was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame. In 2012 she released her autobiography Pretty Enough: The Story of the Gangbang Queen. Also in 2012, after a 10-year hiatus, Houston returned to porn, filming a scene called “Sex Games” for Brazzers with Keiran Lee.
Where is she now? I guess there’s always the chance she could come back again after another long hiatus, but since leaving the adult industry, Houston has tried her hand at real estate (it didn’t go well) and she also beat cancer. Plus, she holds a nursing degree.
Siri
For those of you who only know Siri as the AI you talk to on your iPhone, you’re missing out! Pornstar Siri is a big-boobed (32H) curvy beauty who started her career in 2012. In 2013 she won Best Newcomer from Miss Free Ones and got an AVN nomination for Best New Starlet. She also became very well-known within the world of cosplay for appearing as Power Girl.
In February 2016 Siri announced via video on social media that she was retiring, saying, “I always said that I would quit when it stopped being fun. Things got to a point where they stopped being fun. I stopped enjoying what I was doing.”
Where is she now? Siri got back into the porn game in 2019 and began appearing on some of the biggest studios in the game, including Brazzers. Siri has been very outspoken against slut-shaming and is a supporter of the UnSlut Project.
Raylene got into porn as a teen and retired from XXX entertainment as a MILF! In 1996 Raylene was a 19-year-old virgin when she did her first scene in Shane’s World #4. From 1999 to 2001 she was a contract girl for Vivid. In 2001 she retired for the first time, with a career that saw her appear in 456 films!
She became a real estate agent and was dancing as well. In 2004 she retired from dancing, but she fell on hard times financially and in 2009 made a return to having sex on film. Her comeback movie was Raylene’s Dirty Work. Then, in January 2014, Raylene announced via Twitter that she had retired – again.
Where is she now?In 2017 Raylene was inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame (she was inducted into the AVN HoF in 2008). It also looks like her Raylene Twitter account was deleted this year. It’s been reported that she has gone back to real estate.
Ashlynn Brooke
Ashlynn Brooke graduated from high school in 2003 and worked at a used car dealership for three years before making the jump to adult films in 2006. She started with a photoshoot for a magazine based in her home state of Oklahoma. She then worked as a stripper briefly and in 2007 signed on as an exclusive contract performer for New Sensations/Digital Sin. Two years later she made her directing debut with Ashlynn Brooke’s Lesbian Fantasies.
Ashlynn retired in 2010 after giving birth. After the announcement, she did try her hand at starring and producing female-only porn, but she said that being a girl “who tries to direct all-girl features but isn’t a ‘real’ lesbian” didn’t work. They say you should always go out on top and Brooke did pretty much that: In 2011 she was listed as one of the 12 most popular stars in porn by CNBC.
Where is she now? Ashlynn now goes by her married name, Ashley Rogers, and appears to be quite busy. She’s written a book, Taking Life by the Balls, and also works as a relationship and sex coach, mentor and hypnotherapist.
