The film, which was made in 1970 (six years before Rocky) was originally called "Party at Kitty and Stud's". However, after Stallone shot to fame with the Rocky movie, the film was re-released as "The Italian Stallion." The movie has also been heavily edited and if you can follow the plot then more power to you.
The site is nothing more than the one movie split up into four scenes. I guess if you watch them in order you have the best chance of understanding the plot, but I am pretty sure you would be joining out of sheer curiosity to see Stallone, so order wouldn't be the biggest priority. The question then becomes though, is it worth it as a curiosity? And the answer is maybe.
The price tag is very low. For the price of a specialty coffee at Starbucks you can get yourself a month-long membership to the site and watch the movie over and over again and be the star of your next dinner party with this classic Stallone footage.
As far as quality goes, I found that the vids actually looked good on the iPod Touch I was using to browse the site. Of course the stuff isn't super-crisp HD, but remember that this was filmed in the '70s, so that is to be expected. Each scene comes with a set of "pics" but they are just vid caps and they look as good as you would expect vid caps from that era to look.
You don't get any bonuses and there is obviously not going to be any updating (unless maybe Stallone decides to do a sequel). So, with that in mind, is it worth five bucks to you to see where Stallone got his start? If so, then Italian Stallion Mobile TBMS is the place to do it.
