I was kind of hoping for something clever from Nylon Butterfly. I imagined my younger days when I used to chase butterflies and try to catch them in a net made of nylon mesh. The thrill of the chase was soon counteracted by the realization that they don't last very long in a jar, air holes or not, so that not-so-fun game ended rather quickly for me.

I learned a valuable lesson that some creatures are just meant to be free . Despite the fact that no chicks on NylonButterfly are actually captured with giant nets, they seem to have eluded capture even on film. There hasn't been an update in years, despite the "latest news" section suggesting otherwise. They're simply rotating the same minimal amount of content.

The site has a dated design and there are only six videos and they don't even come in full-length versions. Instead, each one comes in a series of three AVI clips with good-quality footage. It seems as if they've resized them from smaller screen ratios and there is a bit of graininess to the films, but it doesn't detract too much from the hardcore .

There are 31 sets of high-res photos and all of them are incredibly well lit and crisp. You'll definitely want to have these pics in your personal stash and you can download them in Zip files. You can also view them in slideshows.
