Planet Lads Review

Planets Lads was one of those sites on which I was afraid I might tear out what's left my hair from the sheer frustration of having to count it all. There are no separate sections for pics and flicks, instead you have to pick through the models listed alphabetically and view their individual pages, which list their photo spreads and a video, if they have one. I found the interface is graphically intense and the pages with videos automatically load a streaming version of the first clip. That makes it slow to navigate. Sometimes the site would simply stop responding altogether.

Granted most folks aren't quite on the mission that I must pursue, which is to review the PlanetLads thoroughly in as little time as I can. Nevertheless, it seemed somewhat ridiculous to have to sign out and back in again just to complete about five models at a time. It happened on more than one day, so it wasn't just a temporary glitch. At any rate, there are 116 galleries of big, albeit not high-res, still pics. Sets range from about 150 to over 240 frames. Hot fellows pose solo.

There are 34 videos. They download in a series of two to four clips in multiple formats including average-looking Window Media, QuickTime files with good-quality playback, two low-quality versions of MP4s, one for PSP, one for iPod and an even lower-quality GP3 file type for your mobile phone. Each scene also loads automatically to the first clip when you open a new model's page in average-looking Flash format in an embedded player.
