All you dudes on dial-up looking for a big, pay-per-view, streaming-movie site better keep on looking, because this is Strictly Broadband.

Okay, so I guess dial-up users could still check out the site, but StrictlyBroadband will be a very slow experience for anyone still dialing up their Internet connection.

So, I mentioned that the site was a streaming, pay-per-view site, but let me give you some more details on how it works. It is free to join the site and browse around. However, in order to watch anything you are going to need to purchase tickets.

One ticket costs a little over $11 and gets more expensive depending on how many you buy. With one ticket you are able to rent one full DVD movie for seven days. When I say "full DVD movie" I mean the full movie with all the scenes therein. This is good, because otherwise the price would be way too expensive. As it is it still seems a little pricey but not as bad considering you are getting multiple scenes.

I should reiterate that these movies are streaming only. When you use a ticket the movie goes into the active movies area of the "my account" section and stays there for as long as you rented it for (seven days with one ticket, and a year if you want to use two tickets).

That means in order to watch your movies you will have to sign into the site and stream them rather then being able to download them. They do have a download section, but these are for vids in portable movie formats only for your iPod and PSP. There are over a 1,000 DVDs available at this point, which makes for thousands of individual scenes, and the video quality is very good from what I saw.

Strictly Broadband has its own setup, with the streaming-only video rentals and having to do everything from the site. However, if you don't mind that and like the idea of getting full DVDs rather than individual scenes, it is worth checking out.
