XConfessions Review

A Feminist Man, released in 2015 but set in France in May 1968, provides a glimpse of the content. In 1968 France was experiencing a collective protest led by a communist intelligentsia composed of professors and students. Erika Lust's film turns the classic professor-student narrative on its head. The usual script is of a randy professor going after his younger and impressionable female student.

In Lust's version, Maria Riot is the college student. However, it's Maria's intense sexual desire for her gender studies professor, Marc Morato, that drives the action. The scene is incredibly erotic without being raunchy. Furthermore, the mise en scene and costumes are perfectly on point. It concludes with a sweet, missionary-style creampie and, inevitably, the two models smoking Gauloises and talking revolution.

A membership to XConfessions gives you access to interviews with the directors, performers, and even the couples who make the scenes possible. In addition, anyone can read and post confessions, which are the intimate stories that drive the content. The artist's gallery is impressive, too. Many of the scenes also come with BTS content.

What Works About XConfessions?

XConfessions features an extensive list of categories and tags. Scenes can be sorted by featured, date, and alphabetically. The site is mobile-friendly, and there are no problems with speed. You can favorite and comment on the scenes, too. Unsurprisingly, for a site that deliberately lures writers, the comments section is very active. 

The movie player can skip back and forth by 10 seconds, and you can choose the streaming quality. Closed captioning is available in English, French, Spanish, and German. The videos vary in length from 10 to 25 minutes.

The models are notable in their diversity. No matter your taste or fetish, there is a performer and scene to suit your fancy. Well-known stars like Nina Hartley and Isiah Maxwell often appear alongside the amateur performers. What Doesn't Work On XConfessions?

The download situation is a bit odd. You basically have to request access. The site then sends a link to your email, and you can save it from there. I've seen this on Erika Lust's other sites but nowhere else. It's not the most convenient setup.

XConfessions only has vid caps, so they're far from impressive, although crisp enough. Also, note that the three oldest films are in HD only.

The content is only dated by year. Although they state that they update regularly, it's difficult to know how often. 

Do I Recommend XConfessions?

To a certain extent, crowd-sourced ideas are standard for pornography. After all, no one would make it if no one consumed it. But this collection takes this process a step further and explicitly makes the thoughts and desires of its users real. XConfessions does an excellent job of creating porn that portrays how sex feels rather than how it looks. For this reason alone, it is worth checking out this unique site.
